Mountain Landing is owned by MLP LLC, a company registered in Delaware, US. MLP LLC acquired Mountain Landing in 2000 and will remain long-term owner and developer of the property.

Cooper and Company

All aspects of the day-to-day development and operation of Mountain Landing are handled for MLP LLC by Cooper and Company. Cooper and Company is a private investment company with offices in California, Texas and Auckland. It owns interests in real estate, clean energy solutions and finance in New Zealand and the US.

Cooper and Company’s main investments in New Zealand are Mountain Landing and the Britomart development in downtown Auckland. Its interests in the US include the Southlake Town Square development in Texas, the Calnetix group of clean energy solutions companies and financial services companies RiskSpan and Dimensional.

Peter Cooper

Mountain Landing is the vision and personal passion of Peter Cooper, founder and Executive Chairman of Cooper and Company. He is a Californian-based New Zealander who divides his time between New Zealand and the US. He is the owner of The Boathouse, presently let as one of The Residences at Mountain Landing and intended as the future hospitality hub of the community.

Peter is the former Executive Director of Lion Nathan, CEO of LD Nathan & Co and Joint Managing Director of Mace Development Corporation. He practised law for 11 years and was partner at Auckland law firm Russell McVeagh. Today he is also a director of several private companies and a Trustee of Georgetown University, Washington DC.
