Site 15

Site 15 is an approximately four-acre (1.607-hectare) section lying midway between the Mountain Landing entrance gate and the foreshore.

The house site is positioned to capture the sun and expansive views, which extend out over farmland to the Te Pahi and Moturoa Islands and the outer Bay of Islands beyond.

Close to the ponds and wetlands of the Wairoa Valley, this site allows ready observation of endangered native birds in their natural environment. Grassed walkways run from the bottom of Site 15 through the bush beside the central tiered pond system, leading to the beach and The Boathouse at Wairoa Bay. Rangihoua Bay is also a comfortable walk away, through the adjacent Mountain Landing vineyard and across the Te Puna Valley wetlands.
